The Susie Foundation seeks to utilize the lessons of love, positivity, and strength in order to bring a helping hand and lasting hope to those struggling with ALS each day. It draws these ideals from the organization’s namesake, Susie Matthews, to bring comfort to those whom need it most.

ConnectiKids Inc. is a nonprofit positive youth development agency that focuses on educating, enriching, and empowering Hartford’s youth. “We couldn’t stay the whole game, but the students had a great time! We made hot chocolate to defrost before heading home.” said Kiera Steele, Program Director of ConnectiKids. Glad they were able to thaw out before a return trip next year.

Governor’s Prevention Partnership

The Governor’s Prevention Partnership connects organizations, communities and families to prevent substance abuse, underage drinking and violence among youth and promotes positive outcomes for all young people in Connecticut.

Hartford Catholic Worker

The Hartford Catholic Worker is a community of volunteers, living in the north end of Hartford, working towards putting an end to violence and poverty. Their after school program, The Green House, helps provide a ‘home-like’ atmosphere for Hartford’s poorest children; in an effort to provide them the stability they need to escape the downward spiral of poverty. They provide hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect in its various forms, severe family problems and mental health issues.

Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment

Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group (“TEEG”) is a non-profit social service agency in northeastern Connecticut. They provide social services to families in the in Woodstock/Putnam area.

The Village was one of the first agencies in the country to provide homes for neglected children, and today continues to build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children. They have been around for over 200 years, and we hope the great work they do continues on for another 200.
